Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster has proclaimed Friday, November 6, 2020 as Cumberland County Health Department Appreciation Day.

The proclamation is as follows:

WHEREAS, one of America’s greatest natural resources has always been the hard-working men and women of our communities. The courage of these individuals during one of the most challenging times in American history, does not go unnoticed; and

WHEREAS, 2020, the year of a global health pandemic, has been a call to arms for our health professionals with the assistance of law enforcement and the National Guard; and

WHEREAS, the staff, both professional and administrative, at the Cumberland County Health Department has been recognized regionally and state wide for its innovation and efforts to tirelessly protect and serve our community; and

WHEREAS, Cumberland County is blessed to have a group of such selfless individuals who have, despite their own safety and concerns, provided daily drive-thru Covid-19 testing, free of charge, and without appointment, ensuring our community has the utmost protection;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Allen Foster, Mayor of Cumberland County, do hereby proclaim Friday, November 6, 2020 as Cumberland County Health Department Appreciation Day to honor the courage, commitment, and sacrifices of these brave men and women who went and continue to go above and beyond the call of duty to help make Cumberland County, Tennessee a safer place for all.
