CUMBERLAND COUNTY RESIDENT ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Late Monday night, Cumberland County deputies were called to a home on Cherokee Lane for a welfare check. The woman, who had bruises under her jawline on both side of her throat consistent with strangulation, claimed she and 29-year-old Kyle John Harrell had been in an altercation on Sunday. She said he choked her almost to the point of losing consciousness, while pinning her against a window and lifting her off the floor. The police report states Harrell repeatedly told the woman, “See, you got me to do it. You’ve pushed me. You’ve won.” He was then said to have grabbed a hair dryer and began beating it against the bathroom counter until it broke. Then he stood over her while she was sitting on the floor, and taunting her, telling her to call 911. At that point, he left with his belongings, ostensibly to stay with a family  member.

Harrell was taken into custody at a Rodgers Road address and charged with aggravated domestic assault. He was placed under $10,000 bond and has a court appearance on January 28.
