CUMBERLAND COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM’S CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER RESIGNS

Crossville, TN – Cumberland County Schools announced today that Mr. Travis Isaacson has officially resigned from his position as Chief Finance Officer, effective 3/17/2017.

In his statement, Mr. Isaacson thanked the Board of Education for the opportunity to have served the community and to have worked with an executive staff whose goal has always been to put children first.

Mr. Isaacson has been acting CFO for the last three years, and in that time has developed strong financial and administrative policies and procedures that have strengthened the districts ability to monitor and manage district finances, business programs and financial services.
Mrs. Janet Graham, Director of Schools is currently seeking candidates to fill Mr. Isaacson’s position. Mr. Isaacson will provide assistance in the interim period to make for a smooth transition once a qualified candidate is hired.

Director Graham indicated, “ This will not be an easy position to fill. Mr. Isaacson has been a tremendous asset to the Cumberland County Schools, and his skills and knowledge in managing the districts finances and operational departments will be greatly missed. We have begun the search process, and hope to have the position filled by spring.”

Cumberland County Schools is a K-12 public school system, serving approximately 7000 students in Cumberland County Tennessee. Employing over 1000 faculty and staff, with 9 elementary and 3 high schools.
