The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an active misdemeanor vandalism case following an incident reported on August 21, 2026, at a residential property located on Eroh Road.

According to the incident report filed by Corporal Jacob Brink, deputies responded to a call regarding a shed break-in at approximately 11:32 AM. The property owner initially suspected weather-related damage from a recent windstorm when he first noticed a broken front window on his shed.

Upon closer inspection, authorities discovered the damage was intentional. The front window and frame of the shed were damaged to gain entry, and belongings inside had been rummaged through. A freezer lid sustained scratches and dents—noting a value of $400—while an exterior flag pole valued at $50 was also damaged after being used during the incident. The total estimated property loss is $550.

A small patch of dried blood was found on the freezer lid.

No suspects have been identified at this time, and investigators have not yet confirmed if any items of value were stolen.
