CUMBERLAND FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO BARN FIRE ON DEEP DRAW ROAD

On the evening of Monday, June 1, 2026, Cumberland County Fire and Rescue responded to an emergency call at 9:37 PM regarding a massive structure fire in Crossville. Upon arriving at the 2000 block of Deep Draw Road, specifically 2043 Deep Draw Road, emergency crews encountered a large barn fully engulfed in flames, with its roof already entirely collapsed.

The structure was heavily packed with hay, tractors, and various farming implements. Firefighters quickly sprang into action to assist a herd of cattle in the adjacent lot, successfully releasing them safely into an open pasture.

Because the owner was out of state at the time, crews managed the scene independently, ultimately utilizing 8,000 gallons of water to cool down and protect the valuable farm equipment while allowing the remaining hay bales to burn out under control.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the cause of the fire remains undetermined.
