(DEVELOPING STORY) – MAN LOCKS HIMSELF IN HOME AND REPORTEDLY SET IT ON FIRE IN CROSSVILLE

(Developing story) – Crossville medics, firefighters and police responded to a home on Short Road this morning after a man locked himself inside and set the residence on fire. A brief standoff took place as authorities were not sure if the male was armed or not. A female and at least one child was able to get out of the home safely. Police finally were able to get inside and tried to search for the man. Sheriff Casey Cox told 105.7 News the individual was later found inside unconscious by fire crews after the blaze was put out and the subject was taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment. This is a developing story and more information, including identities, will be released by authorities at a later time.
