DOG ALERTS HOME OCCUPANTS TO FIRE

For the second time this week, a dog has saved the lives of two people from a fire. Cumberland County Firefighters were called to 48 Renfro Hollow Lane at 2 AM Saturday morning for a structure fire. Assistant Fire Chief John Hall told 1057 News that a dog at the home alerted the two occupants, a male and female, to the fire. Assistant Chief Hall said that the fire was contained to the home’s flu, an outside wall and parts of the attic. He said that the fire and smoke caused minimal damage to the home. 4 units and 7 firefighters responded to the call and no injuries were reported.
