DRIVER ESCAPES INJURY IN ACCIDENT ON I-40 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
A motorists escaped injury in a single vehicle accident Saturday on I-40 in eastern Cumberland County. Trooper Jeremy Newcome said in his report a 2011 Nissan Altima driven by 21-year-old Craig Barbour of Nashville was traveling around the 338 mile marker when he lost control and impacted the cable barriers. Barbour, who was restrained, was cited for failure to exercise due care.
