DRIVER HURT IN HIGHWAY 68 VEHICLE CRASH IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
A driver sustained injuries yesterday in a single-vehicle accident in Cumberland County.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2008 Dodge Avenger driven by 23-year-old Stephen Isaiah Burford was traveling on Highway 68 near Turkey Oak Road near Homestead when he lost control in a curve.
The vehicle left the road and struck a telephone pole.
The rear of the Dodge then collided with a nearby tree.
The report states troopers issued citations for failure to maintain a lane of travel, failure to wear a seat belt, and an insurance violation.
