A vehicle accident in Cumberland County last night left a driver hurt. The crash report states a 2007 Honda Accord operated by 20-year-old Samuel G. Wright of Knoxville was traveling north on Oak Drive approaching Birchwood Drive and Stanley Street where there is a 3-way intersection. Officers say Wright was traveling too fast for conditions and went past a stop sign. The car left the road, went into a ditch, traveled into a small field and hit a tree. Wright was not restrained and was taken to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
