DURHAM, ARMSTRONG FACE POSSIBLE EXPULSION AT SPECIAL-CALLED LEGISLATIVE SESSION

The fate of two state lawmakers could be decided in an upcoming special session of the state legislation. Tennessee House Speaker Beth Harwell says embattled State Representative Jeremy Durham will face an expulsion motion. The state’s attorney general published a wounding report on allegations made by 22 Tennessee Capitol Hill women who accused Durham of sexual harassment. He lost the August primary but will retain his seat until a replacement is elected in November. Representative Joe Armstrong, who was recently found guilty of charges related to tax evasion, faces a similar destiny.
