DUSTIN LEE DIXON TO APPEAR IN COURT TOMORROW ON DRUG AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT CHARGES

A Crossville man faces multiple felony charges after authorities found him passed out on the floor of a Genesis Road home next to active drug paraphernalia, while an unattended one-year-child stood nearby crying.

According to Cumberland County General Sessions Court records, Dustin Lee Dixon is scheduled to appear in court on August 13, 2026, following charges stemming from an incident on August 30, 2025.

Sgt. Ray Seiber of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Genesis Road to investigate potential drug activity. Upon receiving no answer at the door, the officer heard a baby crying from an open bedroom window. Looking inside, the officer observed a young child standing near a bed alongside several pieces of drug paraphernalia, including syringes, digital scales, baggies, burnt tin foil, and suspected narcotics.

Fearing for the infant’s safety, law enforcement entered the home and located Dixon passed out on the floor in close proximity to the child and the hazardous materials.

Investigators seized approximately 6.5 seconds of a light green powder and 1.89 grams of a brown powder, both of which field-tested positive for fentanyl.

Dixon was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Jail. He has been formally charged with:

  • Manufacture, Delivery, or Sale of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl)

  • Child Abuse, Neglect, or Endangerment

  • Possession of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia
