ED KING, GUITARIST FOR LYNYRD SKYNYRD, PASSES AWAY
Ed King, the guitarist for Lynyrd Skynyrd died at his Nashville home yesterday at the age of 68.
King co-wrote the song, “Sweet Home Alabama.” He can be heard counting off the “One, two, three…” before beginning the song’s iconic guitar riff.
He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Lynyrd Skynyrd in 2006.
