Roane County Commission Chairman Randy Ellis was recently hired as the director of the visitors center and tourism for the city of Harriman. He will also help coordinate special events. The visitors center, known as the Trailhead, is next door to the Princess Theatre in downtown Harriman. Ellis replaces Rebecca Schwepfinger who was let go by the city last year in the category of Special Events Coordinator but didn’t directly work to enhance the trailhead as Ellis will be directed to.
