ETSU STUDENT CHARGED WITH DISRUPTING BLACK LIVES MATTER EVENT IN GORILLA MASK
East Tennessee State University Officials say they are “outraged” over an incident which occurred at a Black Lives Matter event on campus Wednesday. Authorities say that a freshmen at the school, Tristan Rettke, came to the rally dressed in a gorilla mask, carrying a rope and attempting to give out bananas. He told officers that he “wanted to try to provoke the protesters.” Rettke has been charged with one count of civil rights intimidation.
