TENNESSEE RECEIVES “D” FOR AGING INFRASTRUCTURE
Tennessee’s aging infrastructure has received a next-to-failing grade according to a recent report. The American Society of Civil Engineers says that a “sustainable, strategic solution” is needed in regards to the problem which is a result of population growth, less-than adequate funding and aging structures. Tennessee’s roads earned a C+ overall, but the state’s dams, transit systems and waste water facilities all earned grades of D.
