EVERETT “WAYNE” ROSSER, AGE 88

Everett “Wayne” Rosser, age 88, of Crossville, passed away August 9, 2018. He was born April 26, 1930 in Jasonville, Indiana, the son of William and Grace Tipton Rosser. He was retired after nearly 33 years with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department. He was also a United States Army veteran having served during Korea where he was awarded the purple heart for his injuries. His hobbies included work, work and more work. He spent his off duty time working at both the drag strip and dirt track as well as working security at the county school ballgames. He and his wife Dolores also owned and operated the Country Kitchen and The Town House restaurants during the 70’s and 80’s. He is survived by his wife: Dolores Rosser of Crossville; sons: Michael W. Rosser and his wife Linda of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mark Rosser and his wife Melissa, Kenny Rosser and his wife Michelle, and David Rosser all of Crossville; brother: Robert Rosser and his wife Andrea of Hobart, IN.; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday August 11, 2018 at 3 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday August 10, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
