A Fentress County man has been sentenced by a judge after entering a guilty plea. Court officials say 48-year-old Charles W. Ruddy of Grimsley was given a split sentence of 90 days in jail, then three years supervised probation for three counts of violating the sex-offender registry. According to the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, Ruddy was convicted in 1993 of indecent liberties involving a child.
