A Roane County woman was arrested after discharging a firearm in a physical altercation over the weekend. Deputies responded to a fight involving a gun at a residence at the 700^th block of Emory Heights Road in Harriman. According to the arrest report, a family member reported that 53-year-old Teresa K. Grutzius of Harriman was intoxicated and waving a firearm around after a physical altercation. One person at the scene attempted to get the 9mm handgun away from Grutzius resulting in one shot being discharged. Officers arrived and seized the weapon. After investigating the incident, Grutzius was charged with aggravated assault and transported to the Roane County jail.
