FIRE CAPTAIN INDICTED FOR ARSON

An investigation by agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Tennessee Fire Investigation Service has resulted in the indictment of a captain with the Metro-Nashville Fire Department. The TBI began an investigation into a September 5, 2017 fire that occurred at the residence located at 1055 White Bluff Road in White Bluff, Tennessee. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that 48-year-old Jeffrey Todd Neely intentionally set fire to his own residence. As a result of the investigation, the grand jury last week returned an indictment for arson and insurance fraud. Neely was arrested yesterday (October 24, 2017) and booked into Dickson County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
