Cumberland County firefighters responded to a mobile home fire this afternoon at 711 Sequoia Drive in Lake Tansi. Cumberland County Fire Chief Trevor Kerley told 105.7 News a wood stove inside the dwelling sparked the blaze. A smoke alarm installed by the Cumberland County Fire Department last year alerted the homeowner to the fire and the occupants evacuated. No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross is assisting the occupants of the home which was declared a total loss.
