As expected, voter turnout for early voting in both Cumberland and Roane Counties has been heavy. On Wednesday, 1366 residents voted in Cumberland County with 1119 voting in Roane. To date, 3442 have cast votes in Cumberland County with 2275 voting in Roane. Number totals include absentee and early voting. Both election commissions are saying that turnout has been brisk with lines reaching to entrance doors nearly all day. Although lines are long, officials are saying that wait times are short.
