The former Harriman police chief has applied for a patrolman’s position in Rockwood. Randy Heidle resigned in 2016 following an investigation into official misconduct of a law enforcement officer. He is on the list of applicants to be interviewed in the near future. Although Heidle’s term in office was surrounded by controversy, which included an investigation by the State Comptroller’s Office, he was never charged with wrong doing. The City Council will make their final determination on applicants at their regular meeting later this month.
