FUNERAL HOME DONATES SERVICES TO FAMILY AFTER 4 CHILDREN KILLED IN FIRE

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Springfield funeral home is donating its services to a family who lost four children earlier this week in a house fire.

It happened at a home on Poplar Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Monday.  The children, including a set of 2-year-old twins, a 4-year-old and a 7-year-old, all died.  Springfield Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cremation Center told News 2 Thursday they are donating their services to the family.  Visitation for the children will be held on Saturday at Springfield Baptist Church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. They will be buried at Springfield Baptist Church after the service.

A woman and two other children safely got out of the burning home.  The father, identified as Julian Pope, and an 8-year-old girl were both injured and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They remain hospitalized.

The fire investigation is ongoing.
