Malachi Lee “Mali” Thomas, age 14 of Rockwood, passed away on Friday, January 6^th, 2017. Malachi was born on August 30^th, 2002 in Knoxville, Tennessee, but he was a longtime resident of Rockwood. He attended Trinity Word of Faith Church in Rockwood. He was an 8^thgrader at Rockwood Middle School. He had aspirations of being a diesel mechanic when he grew up. Malachi had a huge heart, he enjoyed being in the woods at “his fort”, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a loving son and a great big brother. He enjoyed riding his bike, hanging with his friends, and listening to music. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Janie and Russell Thomas. Great Grandparents; Clifford & Lorene Hunter, and John & Ola Faye Willis.

Father:                 Russell Thomas of Harriman, TN

Brothers & Sisters: Ian Thomas, Kristian Thomas, Titan Byrge, Micah Thomas, and Promise Thomas.

Grandparents:   James and Dean Willis of Rockwood, TN

Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 12^th 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jimmy Willis officiating. Graveside and interment services will follow in the Piney Grove cemetery in Midtown, (Harriman) TN.
