Robert Andrew Garren, 31, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and two counts of aggravated statutory rape.

The TBI issued an Amber Alert for 17-year-old Haley Brandenburg on Nov. 8.

She was later found with Garren in Henry County, Ga.

Garren was picked up at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office last Thursday and transported to Roane County, where he remained jailed on Friday. The TBI continues to investigate the circumstances of 17-year-old Haley Brandenburg leaving Rockwood with Garren. The van the two fled the area in was found unoccupied in downtown Chattanooga last Friday. They were found the next day in Henry County Ga.

Garren reportedly admitted to having sex with the teen on two occasions.

Garren is scheduled to appear in Roane County General Sessions Court on Dec. 18. Records list his address as 221 McClendon Lane, Spring City.
