GAS PRICES BEGIN TO SETTLE AFTER PIPELINE FIX
After nearly two weeks of gas prices sky-rocketing above the $2 mark and higher, things have begun to settle down after a leak in the Colonial Pipeline in Alabama was repaired. While the fuel line was shut down for repairs, Gov. Bill Haslam called for a state of emergency so that supplies of gasoline could continue to be transported to fuel stops that were being mobbed by panic-buying. Prices in Tennessee are running stable at $2.16 per gallon of unleaded fuel. Prices in Crossville are as low as $1.94 while in Rockwood a gallon of unleaded is selling for $2.09.
