A man is dead and one is in custody following a shooting today at a Anderson County, Tennessee WalMart.

Police responded to the scene in Clinton around 1:15 pm this afternoon after a call to 911 reported a person was shot and down in front of the lawn and garden entrance. The caller advised 911 that the shooter was still in the parking lot. Officers arrived on scene three minutes later and found 23-year-old Marshall Pinsley of Blaine in Grainger County deceased. The  alleged shooter, 32-year-old Robert K. Myers of Briceville was taken into custody by police. No other injuries were reported.

The shooting may be of a domestic nature. Police confirmed that Pinsley was the husband of the suspect’s ex-wife.

Nearby Anderson County High School was placed on lockdown when the shooting took place, but the lockdown was lifted after Myers was taken into police custody.
