HARRIMAN CITY COUNCIL PASSES BUDGET, DISCUSSES OLD HOSPITAL
The Harriman City Council passed their budget with no tax increase last night during their meeting. The tax rate will remain the same at $1.22 per $100 of assessed value. The council after the meeting held a work session. City Manager Kevin Helms spoke with them in regards to using the former hospital in downtown Harriman hospital as a new city complex. No final decisions were made in the discussions. The city wants to tear down the older part but keep the newer portion for a possible new city complex.
