HARRIMAN JOINS KINGSTON & ROANE COUNTY IN LAWSUIT
The City of Harriman has decided to throw itself into the ring with Roane County and the City of Kingston and participate in a joint lawsuit against TVA and the cleanup corporation in charge of operations after the 2008 coal ash spill. Because the 10-year time statute is Saturday, Dec. 22, the lawsuit must be filed quickly. A motion was made to join the lawsuit and spend $12,000 for litigation fees. It remains to be seen if Rockwood and Oliver Springs will join in the lawsuit.
