Kingston Firefighters answered a call of a structure fire at 500 West Cumberland St. near Roane County High School around 3 PM Wednesday. Crews observed heavy smoke coming from the attic and second story areas. The road had to be closed off for a time while the blaze was extinguished. According to sources at the scene, the fire may have started in the kitchen. No one was injured during the incident and officials are continuing to investigate.
