A vehicle accident early this morning (Wednesday, June 28, 2017) in Putnam County resulted in two injuries. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, 42-year-old Jason Norton was traveling northbound on Highway 136 near Frisk Road just north of Cookeville when he left the right side of the road. Troopers say Norton over corrected, crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Elizabeth McDonald head on. Both were taken by air medical helicopters to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of injuries. As of late this morning, both were listed in critical condition.
