HIGH SPEED CHASE RESULTS IN ONE ARREST
A Putnam County man was arrested following a pursuit with police officers last night (Sunday, October 1, 2017). Officers say a red Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by 29-year-old Jonathan Curtis Reed of Cookeville was on Highway 111 when the chase started. Reed headed toward Interstate 40 then towards Exit 287 where he got off the interstate and later hit a retaining wall in the parking lot of Hardee’s on South Jefferson Avenue. Reed was charged with two counts of reckless endangerment and one count of evading arrest. Reed was transported to the Putnam County jail and placed under a $11,000 bond.
