HIGH SPEED PURSUIT IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY ENDS WITH ARREST

A high-speed police pursuit in Crossville yesterday afternoon ended with an arrest. A Cumberland County deputy attempted to pull over a Ford Explorer on Wayne Avenue for a wanted subject driving the vehicle. According to the arrest report, 28-year-old Joseph David Sadula of Crossville turned onto Cook Road and accelerated at a high rate of speed. The chase proceeded onto Short Road and ended at a lumber yard at the corner of Short Road and East First Street. Sadula reportedly got out of the car and ran towards a wooded area. He was arrested a short time later. Sadula was charged with reckless endangerment, driving on a revoked or suspended license, evading arrest and served an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.
