HOUSE BLAZES KEEP CUMBERLAND COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS BUSY

(DEVELOPING STORY) – Three separate house blazes kept firefighters in Cumberland County busy this afternoon.

The first took place on Roark Drive off of Westel Road south of I-40 around noon.

As crews were about to wrap up there, another call was put out at 2 p.m. central for a residence near the 2,400 block of Midway Road in the southern part of the county for a blaze in the attic. Crossville and Lake Tansi fire responded mutual aid to help at that scene.

As firefighters cleared both scenes, a third call came in just before 3 p.m. of another attic fire on the 500 block of Critter Creek Road.

A cause of the fires is being determined. An injury report was not initially available.
