HO– USE DESTROYED IN MIDTOWN FIRE

Emergency crews worked through frigid temperatures Sunday at the scene of a house fire at 392 Allison Drive in Midtown. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 4 PM and observed flames shooting through the roof of the structure. Midtown Assistant Fire Chief Brad Goss said that it was difficult getting the blaze under control as water trucks had to be brought in to travel a mile and a half for the nearest water as there was no nearby hydrant. The home owners were away at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The house was determined a total loss. No damage estimate was available.
