An investigation is underway after human skeletal remains were found in Pigeon Forge this morning (Tuesday, September 5, 2017). Officers with the Pigeon Forge Police Department responded to the scene at Music Mountain Drive and Teaster Lane after a man working for a cable company reported the discovery near a tent camp site in the woods. Police called in a University of Tennessee forensic team to help recover bones. Authorities said it appears the person had been staying in the tent and has been deceased for a while.
