INFORMATION ON SHOOTING CALL IN BRADLEY COUNTY
On May 10, 2023, at around 1:00 p.m., Bradley County 911 received a call with third-party information that someone may be shooting at a TVA site in the North Bradley / Charleston area.
Walker Valley High School and Charleston Elementary have been put on lockdown as a precaution.
Deputies have been searching the area since the call and have not located any threat, anyone shooting, or any evidence of an act of violence.
Update 1:47 p.m.:
The lockdown is being lifted at Walker Valley High School and Charleston Elementary. Additional law enforcement officers will be in the north Bradley County area.
The report of an active shooter in the area has yet to be validated. The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office takes all calls seriously.
Investigators are working to learn more about the origin of this call.
At this time, we believe this to be a false call.
