The Tennessee Highway Patrol and medics responded Monday night to a multi-vehicle accident with injuries in Cumberland County.

The crash report released today states a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta driven by 66-year-old James Carlas Spriggs crossed over the center line on Highway 127 near VFW Loop and hit the trailer tires of an oncoming 2000 Freightliner driven by 65-year-old Peter Jay Eppolito. The Volkswagen then collided with the left front of a 2021 Ford F-150, operated by 61-year-old Frank Maxwell Lancianese.

Spriggs sustained injuries in the crash.

A 60-year-old passenger in the F-150 was hurt.
