INVESTIGATION CONTINUES FOR THE SHOOTING AT HATMAKER’S BAR & GRILL

The Knoxville Police Department identified the two victims who were killed as  Kenneth Burgett, 46, and Patrick Petty, 30.
The Knoxville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is continuing its investigation into the shooting that happened in the parking lot of Hatmaker’s Bar & Grill on Friday night, April 29, 2022.
Based on the findings of the preliminary investigation, the following occurred:
A fight broke out in the parking lot of Hatmaker’s and shots were fired, resulting in the death of a member of the Outlaw Motorcycle Club and a member of the Pagans Motorcycle Club, two outlaw motorcycle clubs. Two other men, one member of the Outlaws and one member of the Pagans, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Additionally, while officers were on the scene, they were advised that another man with an unknown affiliation arrived at the Claiborne Medical Center suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim reportedly fled the scene and drove to the Claiborne Medical Center for treatment. He was airlifted to the UT Medical Center for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
No suspects have been arrested or identified at this time.
