INVESTIGATION CONTINUES INTO SATURDAY NIGHT’S MURDER IN LAKE TANSI

In the ongoing investigation into the murder of Linda Damewood and the wounding of Andrew Schan and Ellen Cairns at 8610 Cherokee Trail in Lake Tansi last Saturday, Cumberland County Sheriff Casey Cox has offered some additional information. When asked about the “illegal weapon” found in the possession of Kirk and Doneal Clark, Cox described it to 1057 News as “an illegal shotgun,” adding that the Clarks are both convicted felons and, as such, are not permitted to be in possession of weaponry. As to whether attempted-murder charges will be brought in the shooting of Schan and Cairns, Cox said “more cases” are being pursued through the grand jury.
