INVESTIGATION INTO FATAL SHOOTING IN HARRIMAN CONTINUES

The investigation into a fatal Roane County shooting continues. Harriman Police Chief Derek Pacifico said today the name of the alleged shooter will not be released at this time because of the pending investigation by his department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. Harriman police were called to the scene of a fatal shooting on Harding Road last Saturday morning. Upon their arrival, officers encountered several people at the home and one man, identified as 31-year-old Jacob Christian Sizemore of Harriman, dead from an apparent gunshot wound. Investigators conducted numerous interviews with witnesses, including one man, identified in a press release only as a white male, who told detectives he had fired the fatal shot, saying he had done so in self-defense, or the defense of others according to authorities.
