JUDGE ORDERS MOTEL IN SCOTT COUNTY TO SHUT DOWN
A judge has ordered a Oneida, Tennessee, motel to be shut down under the state nuisance law. According to a court document, police were called to the Oneida Family Motel on Alberta Street more than 250 times in less than a year. The motel was shut down today following an investigation by the Oneida Police Department. Officers say the motel has been the scene of rampant criminal activity, including drug trafficking, domestic violence and lewd sexual activity. The owners of the motel, Chris and Nada Yousif, have been ordered to appear in court tomorrow.
