JUDGE REVOKES BOND FOR CUMBERLAND CO. MAN INITIALLY CHARGED WITH ANIMAL CRUELTY
A judge has revoked probation for a Cumberland County man stemming from an initial charge of animal cruelty. The incident happened in mid 2018 when officers went to a home on Junior Camp Road where 51-year-old Michael Deangelo Abston kicked and stomped a dog until it died. Abston told officers that the dog was his and he did not see any problems with what he did. Abston was given a two year sentence on probation for animal cruelty but violated it when he was recently arrested in Putnam County for driving on a revoked license. The judge gave Abston credit for just over a year served and will finish his sentence incarcerated.
