JUPITER AND VENUS BRIGHT TONIGHT
The plateau fared pretty well this afternoon with most of the heavy showers in Roane, Rhea and Meigs counties. It is going to be mostly clear tonight with lows in the upper 60s. Wednesday will be similar to today with partly cloudy and in the 80s and just a few scattered thundershowers. High temperatures through the end of the week and the weekend will be around 85 to 90. We are in a very typical weather pattern for early July. In the sky tonight after sunset you can see Jupiter to the south which is rather brilliant and Venus in the western sky. By 10 p.m. tonight, Jupiter will be more to the Southwest while Saturn will be rising in the Southeastern sky
