A Roane County man who failed to appear in court on child sex crimes was arrested in Blount County Saturday. Court officials say 32-year-old Matthew Fonza Smith of Kingston did not show in criminal court for aggravated sexual battery and three counts of rape of a child. Smith was indicted by a Roane County grand jury on the counts back in October of 2015. Smith was charged with felony failure to appear in court and processed in the Roane County jail.
