KNIFE PULLED ON CCHS STUDENT AT SCHOOL, ONE STUDENT CITED FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

A Cumberland County High School student was issued a juvenile petition for aggravated assault after allegedly pulling a knife on another student. According to the police report, the 15-year-old pulled the weapon on the male victim Wednesday (May 3, 2017) and pushed it up to the victims side but did not break the skin. The report indicates that the alleged assailant was walking to the bus loading area with a female student when the victim allegedly made a comment about the two. After the comment was made, the knife was pulled. The assailant was sent home pending a further investigation by the school and police department.
