Cumberland County firefighters responded late this afternoon to a home on the 3,100 block of Deep Draw Road after lightning had struck a tree next to the residence. A storm just below severe limits was in the immediate area at the time. Initial reports indicated it hit the house. Officials say crews arrived on scene to discover the bolt contacted a tree within a few feet of the structure and a gas line. The dwelling did not catch ablaze and no injuries were reported.
