LOCAL MAN ARRESTED FOR PUBLIC INTOXICATION
Wednesday morning, Crossville police were summoned to the Dollar General on Highway 127 North near the city limits for a report of a seemingly intoxicated man “making dancing gestures on the roadside, per the caller.”
Police met up with 34-year-old James Glenn Lowe of Crossville, who, according to the police report, “displayed several indicators of being under the influence of methamphetamine.” They described his demeanor as exaggerative, and he was particularly talkative and unable to keep still. Further, they said he appeared unable to “make safe and responsible decisions for his own safety.”
The report states Lowe said he was waiting for someone to pick him up, but he hadn’t contacted anyone to let them know where he was. He also said he planned to flag down a friend – if he saw anyone he knew passing by – and ask for a ride.
Lowe, who also said he’d last used meth the day before, was arrested for public intoxication.
