CROSSVILLE POLICE ARREST MAN AT DOLLAR GENERAL STORE FOR DRUG INDUCED P.I.

Cumberland County deputies and the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to an incident this week in the area of the 5,200 block of Lantana Road. A female motorist hit a deer just before sunrise and pulled into a nearby driveway to survey the damage done to her vehicle. A male subject from a home then walked up and pointed a firearm in her direction. She explained the accident was why she stopped and asked him to stand down. A trooper arrived and she did not want to press charges. Authorities advised the aggressor of the offenses he could have faced. Law enforcement temporarily seized his gun after they reportedly smelled an odor of alcohol from him.
